Common questions

How does memory work?

Mochi only remembers what you decide it should remember. Every little thing shows up in the Diary tab, where you can edit it, tag it, or forget it with one tap. There's no hidden copy — if you delete it, it's truly gone and stops influencing future replies.

Can I switch specialists mid-conversation?

Yes. Each chat is tied to one specialist (Mochi to talk, Yumi for study, Pip for writing, Tama for images, Halo for headshots), but you can open a new one from Modes whenever you want. Memory is shared across all five, so they all know what matters about you.

What happens when I run out of mocha beans?

You start with 30 and earn 5 new ones each day as a harvest. If you need more, you can buy packs (100 beans for $4.99, up to 1,000 for $24.99) or upgrade to Mochi+ ($6.99/month with a 7-day free trial or $49.99/year), which includes 200 beans per month plus perks.

Do my photos get uploaded to the cloud?

Only temporarily, so Yumi can read a problem or Halo can generate your headshots. They're encrypted in transit and at rest, processed by Gemini (Google) without ever being used for training, and automatically deleted within 30 days at most unless you save the result to your Diary.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Anytime, from iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Mochi+, or from in-app Settings → Manage subscription. You keep Mochi+ through the end of the period you've already paid for and it won't renew. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
